When knitting in the round generally I will join on the hip, inner sleeve or inner thigh so any drastic color changes or stitch pulling will not be visible.
Knit to the point where you want to add the second skein/end. Place needle into stitch and knit with new yarn leaving a tail to work in later. Knit around. You will end up at the yarn from the last stitch you knit before you added the new skein/end. Stop here. You will have the first end underneath and the second end on top. Drop the top yarn and pick up the bottom yarn and knit into the next stitch. Continue knitting around. Once you are finished take the tail where you initially joined and weave it in the opposite direction to close the hole.
